The trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath is the heart of the yatra. The Mandakini River accompanies the trail, chants of Jai Bholenath echo through the valley, and the mist lifts slowly from the mountains to reveal the ancient stone temple that has drawn pilgrims for centuries.
