Seychelles, at your own pace

Did someone say barefoot mornings in the sand and salty wind in the hair? Seychelles has been hiding in plain sight for too long, in a place too small to notice. For a country spread across 115 islands, Seychelles adds up to just under 500 square kilometres of actual land, smaller than most of our favourite cities. But size has never been the point here, there's no place in the world with waters this clear, sand this white, and serenity this rare!

The destination

A little about Seychelles

Seychelles is one of the oldest islands on Earth, formed from granite rather than coral or volcanic rock, which is why its beaches look unlike anywhere else; smooth boulders rising out of the sand, worn down over 750 million years. It's home to the coco de mer, a palm tree found naturally nowhere else on the planet, producing the largest seed in the plant kingdom. On Curieuse Island, giant tortoises amble around that can live past 150 years old, older than the country itself. Just three islands, Mahé, Praslin and La Digue, hold almost everything most travellers come for, connected by short ferry rides and even shorter flights.
