South Africa · 3 handcrafted journeys
Maybe it was a documentary on Animal Planet, watching lions stalk across the Kruger and elephants gathering around a waterhole, or was it the roar of vuvuzelas during the 2010 World Cup, or the sight of the Proteas walking out to bat? Or perhaps you first came across South Africa through Nelson Mandela’s story, a childhood geography lesson, or the idea of a safari that felt very far from the world we lived in…
The destination
For scale, it has three capital cities, one for each branch of government, and eleven official languages, more than almost any nation on Earth. In Kruger National Park, the Big Five roam across an area larger than some countries, while a few hours away, Cape Town sits at the intersection of two oceans, with Table Mountain as the backdrop. The Cape Winelands, some of the oldest wine-producing valleys outside Europe, sit less than an hour from that same mountain.
The Journeys
