Mexico, at your own pace

We've all built our own picture of Mexico, mostly stitched together from culture we've absorbed along the way. Maybe it's humming "Un Poco Loco" from Coco, or maybe it's James Bond's Spectre, which opened with a Day of the Dead parade through Mexico City. Somewhere between the movies, makeup and the music, it’s safe to say most of us have probably felt the pull at least once…

The destination

A little about Mexico

Mexico holds more UNESCO World Heritage Sites than almost any country in the Americas, including Chichén Itzá, a Mayan pyramid so precisely engineered that on the spring and autumn equinox, sunlight casts a shadow resembling a serpent slithering down its steps. The Yucatán Peninsula sits riddled with cenotes, natural limestone sinkholes filled with crystal-clear freshwater, some connected to underground river systems that divers are still mapping today. And each winter, hundreds of millions of monarch butterflies migrate thousands of kilometres to a handful of forests in central Mexico, turning entire trees orange with their wings.

If you're planning to visit multiple US cities with family, then planning & arranging everything on your own can be an intimidating task. Although I'm a seasoned traveler, I felt joining a group tour to the US is the best option. I had never been on a group tour before, and I'm glad that Cox & Kings made this experience a memorable one for me & my family! The interaction with our travel consultant, Mr. Shoaib, was excellent. The hotels exceeded our expectations and food arrangements were top-class, with options that suited everyone's tastes! A special mention to our bus driver, Mr. Evans who was truly a gem of a person!
