Peru, at your own pace

Machu Picchu sat hidden from the outside world for nearly 400 years after the Spanish conquest that even conquistadors never found it. Further south in the desert, the Nazca Lines draw shapes so massive that they're only fully visible from the sky, a 2,000-year-old mystery nobody's ever fully solved. Isn't there something irresistible about a place like that? That's just a taste of what you will see here…

The destination

A little about Peru

Peru holds one of the widest ranges of ecosystems packed into a single country anywhere in the world, coastal desert in the west, the Andes running straight through the middle, and a slice of the Amazon rainforest in the east, all within driving or flying distance of each other. Cusco, once the capital of the Inca Empire, still shows Inca stonework in its foundations, blocks cut and fitted so precisely that not even a blade can slip between them, all without mortar. Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world, is still home to the Uros people, who live on man-made islands woven entirely from floating reeds.

If you're planning to visit multiple US cities with family, then planning & arranging everything on your own can be an intimidating task. Although I'm a seasoned traveler, I felt joining a group tour to the US is the best option. I had never been on a group tour before, and I'm glad that Cox & Kings made this experience a memorable one for me & my family! The interaction with our travel consultant, Mr. Shoaib, was excellent. The hotels exceeded our expectations and food arrangements were top-class, with options that suited everyone's tastes! A special mention to our bus driver, Mr. Evans who was truly a gem of a person!
