Jordan · 4 handcrafted journeys
We're pretty sure you've also wondered what it would feel like to simply lie back and float on the 'Dead Sea', with the water holding you up? Perhaps you've already heard of Petra and Wadi Rum too? Jordan is a land older than most places you've ever visited or seen, with Roman ruins, ancient trade routes and kingdoms that existed long before ‘our world’ took shape. And that's only the beginning…
The destination
Petra, the Nabataean city carved into sandstone cliffs, was hidden from the Western world for centuries before being rediscovered in 1812. Nearby, Wadi Rum spreads across a landscape of sandstone mountains and open desert that has a nickname “Valley of the Moon”. The Roman ruins of Jerash still remain intact, while the Dead Sea sits more than 430 metres below sea level, where you can simply lie back and float in its mineral-rich waters. There’s more here that are loved by travellers; Amman's colourful streets, Bedouin traditions, Jordanian hospitality, oh we could go on and on.
